With its dual-access design, spacious and removable top pocket, and plenty of extra daisy chains and lash points, it's the hub of your personal and professional network.
Made to be nimble, the CHARLIE 25 uses 100-percent recycled ECOPAK™ fabrics from Challenge Outdoor that give the lightweight pack superior durability and waterproofness. With internal pockets and a padded 15" laptop sleeve, as well as a tablet sleeve for a smaller electronic device, it's ideal for the daily commute, regardless of whether your trek is to the office, a coffee shop, or the trailhead. The ergonomic shoulder straps have dual-density foam, and removable waist and sternum straps provide increased stability during high-output adventures.
The CHARLIE 25 is specifically designed to work with the additional Remote Equipment ORG KITS, a pair of 5-liter pouches that further compartmentalize your gear and easily strap to the outside of the bag or can be stored inside.
Functions & Features
DUAL ACCESS BODY
Primary access and expandability are provided by the cinch top and adjustable brain. A second front access zipper allows the bag to split open into “layout” mode for easy access and organization.
ECOPAK: DURABLE, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, AND WATERPROOF
From the demanding world of sailing and kiteboarding comes Challenge Outdoor ECOPAK fabric. Made of abrasion-resistant 100 percent recycled polyester, ECOPAK absorbs 80 percent less moisture and has better UV resistance and color retention than traditional laminated nylon.
TRIPLE-CAVITY ORGANIZATION
There are hidden pockets inside the bag body that open up to sub-divide the interior into three separate areas to better separate different types of items.
FRAME SHEET
A .060” high density polyethylene frame sheet provides structure and stability to the bag body.
FLEXIBLE SIZE
The CHARLIE 25 features a cinch top that can expand to 30+ liters to accommodate large loads. When lightly loaded, the compression straps can be pulled in and top brain can be removed to make a 20 liter pack.sy access and organization.
HYDRATION-READY
The CHARLIE 25 is equipped with a hydration loop, tube port and tethers, ready to hold up to a 3 liter bladder.
WEATHERPROOF
All Challenge Outdoor ECOPAK fabrics used in the CHARLIE 25 have a waterproof rating of 200+ psi, meaning it's a bag equipped to keep what's inside dry in rain, snow, bogs, marshes, and faraway jungles. All openings employ rain flaps or weather-resistant YKK Aquaguard® zippers.
NIGHT VISIBILITY
Removable reflective bungees provide night visibility while daisy chain on the bag base is ready to hold a bike light.
ORG POUCHES
For additional organization, we offer additional org pouches to organize wires and travel supplies or serve as a dopp kit. These pouches live inside CHARLIE 25’s interior pockets or can move to the exterior for additional capacity and easy access.
REMOVABLE STABILITY BELT
A waist belt is included to provide additional stability for high movement activities like biking and snow sports.
COMFORT AND BREATHABILITY
The back panel has a stepped design with a low point in the middle. This allows the bag to sit comfortably over the shoulder blades and lower back while providing an air channel at the center back. Shoulder straps feature a dual density laminated foam to better distribute weight over the chest and shoulders and all body facing panels use a wicking breathable mesh.
DAISY CHAIN AND TREKKING POLE LOOPS
Daisy chain and trekking pole loops with reflective bungee cords allow tethering of trekking poles, while daisy chain allow for tethering of additional items.
210D NYLON WITH SPECTRA FIBER GRIDSTOP
The cinch top of the bag uses a 210d nylon for its light weight, flexibility and resilience. This fabric is reinforced with a Spectra fiber to stop tears and increase tensile strength.
