Materials & Tech
We employ specific materials, each selected for a distinct set of properties. Our equipment could not exist without the developmental efforts that our material suppliers put into each of their products. |
X50/X51 X-PAC™ FABRIC WITH CORDURA® FACE
X-PAC fabrics are composite textiles that feature multiple layers, each providing specific performance properties. The X50/X51 fabrics use a Cordua® nylon face fabric for additional abrasion resistance. This is then laminated to an X-PLY™ polyester reinforcement for added strength in multiple directions. Laminated to the back is a polyester film for water resistance and added stability. |

400D NYLON PACK CLOTH
We use a 400d nylon pack cloth for situations that require tensile strength, and water resistance but do not encounter above average abrasion. This fabric is extremely durable and has a durable water repellent coating for added weather resistance. |
|
TWEAVE® FABRIC
Tweave® fabric is a stretch woven fabric we use for its strength, stretch-recovery and abrasion resistance and use a few variations of this material with different stretch rates. We use these materials for stretch applications including water bottle pockets and laptop sleeves. We've had a hard time finding anything that comes close to the durability of these wovens. |
|
SPACER MESH
This is a three-dimensional warp knitted fabric consisting of two knitted layers joined by spacer yarns. These three layers work to release moisture and promote air flow through the spacer yarns. |

ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS (ITW) HARDWARE
ITW is a trusted name in pack hardware and one of the original developers of the side release (SR) buckle. Their engineering-driven products stand up to years of abuse and work in a range of environments. |
|
YKK® AQUAGUARD® & RC COIL ZIPPERS
We use YKK® RC (racquet coil) zippers for their reliability and longevity. YKK's RC zipper is a modified version of their original coil and is able to handle greater abrasion. YKK's Aquaguard® zipper is an RC zipper with a water resistant polyurethane coating for exterior applications where water resistance is critical. |
|
NYLON WEBBING
We use nylon webbing weave style MIL-W-17337. These webbings are able to resist abrasion greater than a similar polypropylene equivalent. We also find this webbing works excellently with our buckles and locks. |
