It was late in 2023 when the new-and-improved version of Remote Equipment launched. We’ve rolled out new takes on the ALPHA 31 (the bag that launched the brand), the CHARLIE 25 and updated ORG Kits. In autumn of 2024, we trotted out a refreshed BRAVO 18.

Immediately, we were stoked by the overwhelming positive reactions customers had to the bags. The Remote Equipment brand began with a cadre of hardcore fans, and their acceptance of the revised bags let us know we were moving in the right direction.

The latest version of Remote Equipment managed to snag a few headlines, too, and as we work on a fresh batch of all-new products (watch this space for details), we wanted to share some of what's been written about us.

True Trae talks gives high praise to the Remote Equipment Org Kit as a great organizational travel bag.True Trae talks gives high praise to the Remote Equipment Org Kit as a great organizational travel bag.

"This durable ORG KIT, available in three colors, provides storage for all that stuff. It has plenty of pockets and pouches, sturdy zippers, a carrying handle, and a pouch that can be lashed to a backpack in myriad ways. The ORG Kit would also be great for storing first aid or personal care."

Boating Magazine recommends the Remote Equipment Bravo 18 for your go-to tote bag when heading out on the water.Boating Magazine recommends the Remote Equipment Bravo 18 for your go-to tote bag when heading out on the water.

"This lightweight bag is trilayered to keep out the elements, while still being rugged enough to withstand water duty. It’s a great gift that can serve as a backpack or a tote, depending on how the straps are arranged. Different interior pockets let boaters organize their haul however they like."

"This backpack isn’t new, but it’s new to me. In 2024, I finally tried it, and it’s the best I’ve ever owned. The flexibility is what gets me—just as good for everyday carry as it is for travel."

Pangloins with Packs says the Remote Equipment Bravo 18 is more than just a tote. Pangloins with Packs says the Remote Equipment Bravo 18 is more than just a tote.

"The Bravo 18 may initially seem like a simple tote bag, but it is actually quite multi-dimensional as far as tote bags go. Beyond a tote bag, the Bravo 18 can also be configured as a backpack and a sling/messenger. REQ’s website also describes shortening the handles for a briefcase-style carry, but I kind of see that as the same as the tote bag configuration. As described in the full name of the bag, the Bravo 18 works best as a haul bag — a large dump compartment without too many organizational features."

Remote Equipment's Bravo 18 is a great pack at a great price, says Outside Bozman.Remote Equipment's Bravo 18 is a great pack at a great price, says Outside Bozman.

“All in all, this is a great pack at a great price, one that's well worth adding to my increasingly large and diverse quiver. And yes, the Bravo would make a great haul-bag for a climbing rope, too, provided it's a short approach to the rock.”

"Remote Equipment is a new-to-us brand that combines functional design and indestructible construction to create gear that is 'purpose-built for supporting active lives.'”

The Gear Bunker liked Remote Equipment's Charlie 25 backpack, saying it's durable with a lot of features. The Gear Bunker liked Remote Equipment's Charlie 25 backpack, saying it's durable with a lot of features.

"After using the CHARLIE 25 PACK I appreciated the durability of the materials that Remote Equipment used to make the backpack. One minor preference issue is that the pack has many features, so it took me several weeks to find and understand all of them. However, that is not a major negative issue. On another note, the harness also does an excellent job distributing weight when wearing the backpack. Additionally, I also like how easy it is to take the CHARLIE out on a day hike one day and then take around the city the next day."

Esquire online liked not only that Remote Equipment's Alpha 31 is waterproof and lightweight, but that it looks good on the trail or on the train.Esquire online liked not only that Remote Equipment's Alpha 31 is waterproof and lightweight, but that it looks good on the trail or on the train.

"This is a waterproof backpack that looks as good on the trail as on the train. It's lightweight, and the roll-top design lets you pack a lot more gear than in a regular pack. Sure, the price is steep, but this is a do-it-all pack. It'll replace three other bags. For that, it's worth the cost."

We're keeping our friends in the media at the top of our minds as our product development team works toward adding new products. We can't share the details with them yet, but soon enough we're expecting to generate even more headlines and words of praise.
