It took me way too long to realize this, but one of the best pieces of outdoor equipment you can own these days is a portable power station. If you spend more than eight hours outside, a portable power station is almost a requirement. And nearly every other piece of outdoor gear (save for my fly rods, thankfully) requires some sort of power source. Our phones, watches, tablets, air pumps, computers, flashlights...heck, just about everything operates on rechargeable batteries.

However, once you have a portable power station with its USB chargers, 12V car ports, and AC outlets, along with its own power cord, you quickly realize just how many other cords you need to bring with you on your outdoor adventures.
